Propellent Plate heat exchanger consists of a pack of corrugated metal plates, gaskets and a fix frame, the plate pack is assembled and fixed on the frame by tightening bolts.
The heat is transferred through the plate between the channels which are sealed by gaskets. Large number of corrugations of the metal plate are formed by different molds to applicable various industries. The plate corrugations promote turbulent flow of fluid and support the plates against different pressure.The movable frame allows the equipment to adjust (add or remove) the plates to meet the heat duty.

| Plate heat exchanger is the most efficient type of heat exchanger with its low cost, flexibility, easy maintenance, and high thermal performance. Core part of plate heat exchanger is a number of thin, corrugated plates which are compressed by means of tightening bolts between a fixed frame plate and a moveable frame plate. In this way, channels between the plates are created. One media goes through the even channels, while the other media goes through the odd channels. The arrangements of plates can be single or multi-pass, depending upon the applications. |
